Carolina & Mike were married on June 4 at St Michael’s in Cary.
Carolina’s parents were our neighbors at our first house in Raleigh, so I was really happy when they called me about shooting Caro’s wedding. It was great catching up and spending time with them!

Randi and Blake were married on May 22, 2010. I was really looking forward to this wedding as I have photographed Randi’s sisters’ weddings and they are a great family!
They have all been super fun weddings!

During the ceremony, you could hear a storm approaching, thunder kept on getting louder and louder. After the ceremony, we did all the formals really fast, to try to get them done before the rain. We did it!
After formals, they were introduced and then it started pouring just as they were doing their first dance!

Amanda & Eric got married in Boone on May 1, 2010. Boone is such a great location for a wedding! We had a great time!
It was a pretty day, although the sky started getting very dark during the ceremony, but we were still able to get all our pictures done outside after the ceremony.

Last year I had the privilege of meeting and photographing some special families as part of the contest.
The first place winners were the Mastin family. Their son, Oliver ( Ollie) suffered from spinal muscular atrophy. This disease is invariably fatal and most infants have life spans of 18 months or less with 1 year being very common.
We met on a beautiful sunny afternoon and I was able to experience and capture the love between Ollie and his parents.
Sadly, Ollie passed away in August, just 2 days shy of his first birthday.
